College classes are always welcome to make use of current exhibitions and to use gallery spaces as venues for educational programs. Professors and students may also arrange to study objects in storage. Guided tours of current exhibitions or gallery visits outside of regular public hours can always be arranged for academic departments and the College's administrative offices. Community Outreach

The Sweet Briar Art Collection and Galleries staff and student volunteers offer a variety of educational programs for area children. Summer camps, local schools, Scout troops and other youth groups or clubs are welcome to schedule free tours. Tours are led by staff or by Sweet Briar students involved in the volunteer docent program.

Pannell Gallery: Monday-Thursday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Sunday 1-4 p.m.;
Babcock and Benedict Galleries: Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Please note, the galleries are closed to visitors for all College exam periods and vacations, including winter break (late December-late January), spring break (mid-March) and summer vacation (mid-May to late August).

The galleries are open evenings and weekends for special events and College programs as announced.

Pannell Gallery is located on the main floor of the Anne Gary Pannell Center (the former Refectory), on the Upper Quad near the chapel.

Babcock Gallery is located off the lobby in the Babcock Fine Arts Center, next to the Williams Gymnasium and across the street from the Guion Science Building.

Benedict Gallery is located in the lobby of Benedict Hall, next to Cochran Library.
