Student Vehicle Registration
Any student may keep a vehicle on campus. However, students and guests who bring vehicles to Sweet Briar College do so at their own risk. Sweet Briar College is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged vehicles brought to campus or left there.
Students with vehicles on the campus of Sweet Briar College should understand that storing, parking and operation of a vehicle on campus is a privilege, not a right. That privilege may be revoked at any time. Student vehicles are subject to the following:
Registration of the vehicle with the Department of Safety within 1 week of the start of classes. Vehicles in violation will be subject to ticketing and/or towing. The following information is required for registration: name of student operator, year of class (e.g. 2015), make, model and year of vehicle; license plate number and state of registration; color and number of doors of the vehicle; social security number and signature of student operator.
Parking permit fee: $100 for residential and non-residential students for the academic year 2016-2017. Checks for this fee should be made payable to Sweet Briar College.
The permit issued is to be displayed at all times while on SBC property. Permits should be affixed in the lower left corner (driver's side) rear windshield.
