U.Va. Professor, Muralist to Exhibit Work

Paintings and works on paper by Megan Marlatt, a University of Virginia art professor known for her murals and public and private commissions, will be on display March 26 through May 24 at Sweet Briar College’s Babcock Fine Arts Center Gallery.

Marlatt, a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts in 2000, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Memphis College of Art and a Master of Fine Arts from Rutgers University. She currently teaches drawing and painting at U.Va. and in Italy.

The exhibit will open with a reception and gallery talk by the artist 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 26. Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information about Marlatt or to see additional examples of her work, visit her Web site.
