| February 22, 2011

Sweet Briar College’s annual Gospel Fest, featuring some of the area’s best gospel choirs and singers, will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27 in Memorial Chapel.

Among the groups and soloists who will be performing are Ordained Voices of St. Mary Baptist Church, Paul Kee of Fellowship Church of Christ, Oak Hill Baptist Church Mass Choir, Scott Zion’s Men’s Chorus, Five Boys of Zion, Pine Hill Men’s Chorus and Jasmine Toliver.

Chaplain Adam White calls the annual Gospel Fest a “feast to the ears served out of the richness of gospel music in the African-American tradition.” All are welcome to attend.

The event is free and a reception will immediately follow the service in the terrace level of the chapel.
