Professor Scow's research interests are in semantics of natural language and the philosophy of language. He is working on a paper for publication entitled "Mutual Understanding," which is an attempt to make sense of the semantics of two speakers understanding each other's utterances using a Davidsonian theory of meaning and modern ways out of the liar paradox. He has also been commenting on "Reuniting Singular Terms" and "Against Reference," both papers by Professor John Justice of RMWC.
